They're formed on site from a single coil of aluminum, custom-cut to your roofline in one continuous piece. Traditional sectional gutters have joints every few feet, and joints are where leaks start. Seamless runs only have seams at the corners — which is why they last longer and leak less.
Most homes are finished in a single day, including tear-off of the old gutters. Adding guards or buried drainage can extend that slightly — your quote includes the timeline.
If your lot has trees, usually yes — they end the twice-a-year cleaning cycle and prevent the overflow damage clogged gutters cause. The catch is that guard quality varies a lot, and the wrong guard can shed water over the edge in heavy rain.
